Fortunately I cannot remember the times long long ago when there were no electric lights at all but I am around now as solar powered lighting is taking over the market. It will do for some time as well.

It is virtually maintenance free after the initial installation. You just turn the lights on at night like you do now. When there is a loss of grid power, your lights will still be burning brightly, unlike next door’s. So whether we are having a romantic meal, reading in bed using our bedside lamps or whatever, we can continue as normal.

Just make sure to check that the solar panels are big enough to power everything that you need.
