Guarding Doors With Tight Security System

The best relaxing place in the world is home.  There is really no place like home.  Nothing beats the relaxing benefits that one can get when he stays at home together with his family or friends.  Most individuals prefer to just stay at home during weekends and simply have quality time with the family like cooking barbeque and other special food preparations, watching dvd’s, swimming and playing with the kids or even do gardening or home redecorating.  There are plenty of relaxing things that you can do while you are staying at home.

Doors play a major role in giving the home with security.  If the body has the skin as the first line of defense against bacteria and virus, the home has doors that will block strangers or intruders against entry or trespassing.  Front doors are used as the entry point in about one third of burglaries.  Aside from the windows, doors are also an entry point of thieves all over the world.  While you are enjoying in your backyard, burglars are also enjoying stealing goods inside your home and by the time you get back in, you are left with an empty home leaving a devastating and traumatic effect on your part.

One way to ensure that your doors cannot be easily opened is through providing tight locks.  Tight locks keeps the burglars puzzled as to how they could get in.  They will be having a hard time from breaking in.  For houses with front doors, a guard chain or door viewer is useful.  A guard chain allows the door to be opened a few inches so that visitors can be identified and turned away if they seem undesirable.

When out in the backyard, make sure that the front doors are locked tightly.  Do not leave the doors opened or unattended otherwise burglars will be attracted to get inside.  It is a good thing if you have a dog guarding the front porch that way they will make a noise once a stranger comes which will alert you. 

Check if the screws are tight and are not loose or else burglars will easily unscrew them.  You can also provide peep holes.  Peep holes are door viewers which can be fitted to standard doors quickly and simply.  This one way optical lens gives an angle of vision about 170 degrees.  Peep holes allow you to see people who knock at your door and thus prevent you to open doors for strangers.
